Undergraduate Scholarships

- Charles B. Scharp Scholorship ($2,000)
The undergraduate Scholarships are given to students for use in final year of undergraduate study. Students in a four year program apply in junior year. Students in a 5-year program apply in fourth year.
Graduate Scholarships
Deadline: March 15
- Marjorie Roy Rothermel Scholarship ($2,000)
This grant is given to students working toward a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Lucy and Charles W.E. Clarke Scholarship
Deadline: October 20
To recognize departmental support of ASME student section activities The ASME Auxiliary and ASME Foundation award scholarship funds to academic departments. The department heads identify incoming freshmen to receive the scholarship.
Rice-Cullimore Scholarship - International (Non-US) Students ($2,000)
This grant is given to a foreign student for one year's maintenance while doing graduate work for a Master's or Doctoral Degree in mechanical engineering in the U.S. under the Fulbright Program. Applications for that Program must be obtained from and filed with the local Institute of International Education (IIE) Office or the Education Office at the U.S. Embassy in your home country. IIE will send a copy of the application to the Rice-Cullimore Scholarship Committee.
General Selection Criteria
- Selection based on academic performance, character, need and ASME participation
- Must be U.S. Citizen (except Rice-Cullimore Scholarship).
- Must be enrolled in U.S. school in an ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering Department.
- No student may receive more than one Auxiliary Scholarship or loan in same academic year.
