Master of Education in Collaborative Learning and Teaching
Courses will emphasis the value of learning collaborative and working as teaching teams or cohorts. Classes will include research and evaluation of collaborative teaching and learning, overview of the interconnectedness of learning concepts in schools, reflection and evaluation of teaching practices and completion of an action research project based on the concepts taught and experienced within the program.
- MS in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner
Students learn both advanced issues in direct patient care and supporting families as well as the specific clinical aspects of being a family nurse practitioner. Students will be able to specialize the elective portions of the programs to meet their specific.
- Master of Education in Quality Schools
The program of study for already licensed and practicing teachers in the Master of Education in Quality Schools allows learners to apply Dr. William Glasser's theory of quality schools within their own teaching environments. Courses will include discussions on choice theory, communication and social responsibility in the classroom, inclusion practices, working through discipline problems in the classroom, developing home school partnerships and using techniques that build student achievement and increase learning.
- MS in Nursing - Health Care Administration
The course of study will focus less on the clinical aspects of nursing and more on the administrative skills needed in healthcare, hospital, private clinic and community based health service areas. Students will learn current trends in healthcare administration, leadership skills, communication skills as well as specifics in legal and ethical issues in health care administration and the use of technology in health services.
