Society of Women Engineers Scholarships
The Society of Women Engineers offers 90 scholarships, giving out over $150,000 each year. All female engineering and computer science students should take advantage of this lucrative scholarship program. Scholarships' Website: www.swe.org lists the 33 major scholarship programs offered by SWE at each education level, along with award amounts, number of awards, and specific eligibility requirements for each.
Most schlarships are open to all computer science and engineering students, although you will also find scholarships for specific engineering diciplines, including aeronautical, aerospace, astronautical, automotive, chemical, civil, electrical, industrial, manufacturing, materials, mechanical and petroleum engineering. Some scholarships are restricted only to members of minority groups.
A special category of re-entry scholarships are limited to women who have been out of the engineering job market and out of school for at least two years and who plan to reenter the engineering field.
