Young Visionaries Essay Competition
Denny's sponsors an essay contest every year, and the grand prize awarded to one winner, is a $25,000 scholarship. Ten $1,000 regional scholarships are also awarded. The current year's essay topic, along with the contest rules and entry form, are posted on it's website.

Although the scholarship is not restricted to African-Americans, it is sponsored by African-American orgnizations and the essay topic is one that concerns African-Americans; therefor, African-American students may have a better chance of winning and are particularly encourage to apply.
